Pacific Coast Highway

The Pacific Coast Highway, also known as California State Highway 1, is the major north-south highway spanning California’s coast.  The sometimes winding road passes through rugged cliffs and urban areas alike, and provides a variety of subjects for painting.   My works from this series reflect wide-open expanses, and are sometimes almost abstract representations of portions of the highway in Marin, Sonoma and Mendocino Counties.
