Elevate

Elevate is a series of paintings on small wood panels, using thin layers of acrylic paint and watercolor pencil working with the natural grain of the wood.  The lines are clean and spare, and the color palettes are generally limited to three or four colors.  These paintings give me an opportunity to experiment with the different ways that the wood panels take acrylic paint when pretreated with different textures and materials.
