Icons, No. 1: RBG

Feeling discouraged by the many challenges facing us in the moment, I painted “Icons, No. 1: RBG” for myself. As a lawyer, an activist for women’s rights and human rights, a human being, a mother and a wife, Ruth Bader Ginsburg​has long inspired me as a a role model. I had no idea when I painted her that she would pass away only two weeks later. In her honor, I am donating a percentage of all sales to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
